One thing I’ve found great about stepping into the money saving community is that there’s so much support out there and plenty of resources to help you make progress. This includes free downloads like printables, planners and charts.
Whether you’re starting a new savings challenge or want to find a better way to motivate you to stay focused, here’s where to find free and affordable printable money saving charts.
Why printable money saving charts are great
I love digital resources, which is why I created a free digital savings tracker. But some things are great to have printable versions of, so you can download and print at home.
With printable charts, you can physically tick off or write down your progress. This is great if you get satisfaction from seeing this visual progress marked out in front of you. It’s also a great excuse to pick up your favourite pen, and I find it encourages me to write down notes or get thinking about my savings progress and how I can improve.
Where to find free printable money saving charts
The beauty of the internet is that it’s so easy now to find free printable money saving charts wherever you look.
Most money or financial blogs will have a free download to offer, so it’s worth checking in with your favourites to see if they offer any printables. For example, I have a free money saving chart that goes with the 52-week savings challenge.
Here are some other printable resources from money bloggers:
- Spending diary template by Skint Dad
- Monthly budgeting worksheet by Budgeting is a Challenge
- Monthly budget planner by Money Saving Central
- Printables resource vault by Savings 4 Savvy Mums
A quick way to discover new printable charts is to head to Pinterest. Type into the search bar what you’re looking for and you’ll be presented with plenty of results. You could try ‘free savings tracker printable’ or ‘free grocery budget printable’ and see what comes up. The same works for Google and other search engines too.
Where you can buy printable money saving charts
Sometimes you can’t find a free resource that suits what you’re looking for. Luckily, lots of great creators offer printable money saving charts on websites like Etsy.
A quick search for printable money chart on Etsy brings up 40+ results, including a sinking funds tracker, emergency fund tracker and printable budget planner. Etsy printables are often between £1 and £3, so can be affordable if you can’t find a free version that suits your needs. There’s lots to explore, even more so if you widen your search to other finance-related printables like budgets or meal planning templates (here’s my free one).
You can also support bloggers and creators by buying printable templates from their shop. Blogs like The Money Fox and The Frugal Cottage have shops where you can buy and download affordable resources.
Digital money saving resources
Printable money saving charts have lots of great uses, especially if you want to tick off your savings or enjoy writing in a journal or making physical notes. Sometimes you might be looking for a digital version though – or even want a resource that offers you both.
Just like there are lots of printable resources (both free and paid), digital money saving resources are everywhere too. This can include everything from my spreadsheet-based savings tracker to an app that helps you save money.
The right resource can help you stay motivated
I hope this post has helped you find a free printable money saving chart or other resource that helps you start or progress with a savings goal. If it has, or if you have any other suggestions, let me know in the comments!
